Description in Detail
When you imagine your dream Tuscan estate, do you visualize a cypress-lined country road leading to a beautiful historical villa surrounded by rows of Chianti vineyards and olive groves with panoramic views over the countryside? Perhaps your dream estate extends over acres of private land and forest, perfect for hiking, farming, or horse riding?
Yes, Organic Chianti Florentine Manor is that dream property and an ideal lifestyle for those who wish to enjoy a private manor estate surrounded by the best of Tuscany with the possibility to produce your own organic wine and olive oil. Organic Chianti Florentine Manor has a dominating and scenic position with 360-degree views on 36 hectares (89 acres) just a few kilometers from Florence. This luxury estate’s heritage dates back to the 15th century, once part of a convent which hosted the Medici family during their hunting season. You still find the ancient bread oven from the 1700s and many original Tuscan features, such as terracotta floors, wooden-beamed ceilings, antique fireplaces, wooden doors, and stone archways.
Additional annexes and agricultural buildings were added over the years. The estate’s production of extra virgin olive oil and Chianti wine has been organic since the early 1980s.
Organic Chianti Florentine Manor also boasts a rich forest where you find ancient cypress and oak trees and wildlife, including deer, wild boars, hares, and pheasants. Some of the land is part of a wildlife hunting consortium.
Nestled in the countryside lie 16 hectares of organic vineyards and 5 hectares of organic olive groves. The property has the potential to produce up to about 1.5 tons (16.3 hl) of extra virgin olive oil and up to around 115,000 bottles of Chianti and Tuscan IGT wine. The vineyards are currently rented to other farms that provide an annual income, and none of the wine is currently produced on the estate. However, there is potential for future wine production, either for personal or commercial use with the new owner.
The main part of the manor measures 900 m2 (9,752 ft2) and is spread out over 3 floors. On the main floor, you find a large double living room with a large terrace overlooking the countryside, a dining room with its own bathroom, a traditional kitchen, a study, and two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. On the upper floor, there are another three bedrooms (two with en-suite bathrooms and two with terraces). The manor is in optimal condition and has been well maintained over the years.
The apartment for the staff or for guests is attached to the main manor but has its own individual entrance and consists of a large kitchen, a living room, and 2 bedrooms.
The ground floor of the main manor consists of several areas, including the old wine cellar where Chianti wines were once produced and stored a few years ago. The other spaces can be used for the garden living room, a kitchen, and storage rooms. From each space on the ground floor, you can access the garden and enjoy the large outdoor spaces covered by beautiful loggias. One important peculiarity is the possibility of adding a swimming pool just outside of the main manor.
The first dependance measures 160 m2 (1,700 ft2) and on two floors. The ground floor is composed of business offices and on the first floor, you find a guest apartment with its own private entrance, living room, kitchen, one bedroom, and a bathroom. This building needs renovations.
The second dependance is used as a warehouse for storage and measures 239 m2 (2,573 ft2). This spacious building can be converted into additional living quarters, a spa, or used for agricultural purposes.
Organic Chianti Florentine Manor is an interesting estate to invest in with all opportunities present to embark on a new lifestyle in Tuscany, producing organic Chianti wine and olive oil.
